We’ve been covering different ways to grow your business but haven’t talked about one of the best social networks on the interwebs. That’s Instagram. Today we’re going to talk about 5 Key strategies you can use today to grow your follower list and generate more traffic.
Hashtags
I know you hate it but #hashtags work like “tags” in Instragram and it helps IG group photos that are supposed to belong to each other. You can even search by hashtag to see which ones you should be using. Yes, you should be doing this!
Emojis
Did you know you can actually search by emoji? You can tag your images with emojis and it’s a little hack to get a little more juice out of your posting.
Visual Strategy
This is a big one. Do you have a goal when you post or are you still posting your food? As a business owner and etreprenuer you need to think about your strategy. Just pointing feel good quotes won’t do it. We’ll give you tips later on (and it’s better in the podcast) but you need to think, “what value or what purpose does this post bring?” The other part of the strategy is to keep the images in the same quality and even color scheme. If you post with a logo at the bottom, always do it. IF you post and use a blu-ish tint, always do it. One it sets you up to be identifiable. It also makes it easier when you change it to pop out.
Location
You can tag your location on IG and you should. This is even more important if you have a local business.
Using Stories
Ever hear that video is a big deal right now? Instagram video is a big deal too, so engage with stories.
